I'm Kristy, a Boise newborn photographer who recently made the move from California to the friendly city of Star, Idaho. I am excited to serve families here and over the last 10 years have specialized in newborn, maternity & small family sessions with a heart for capturing genuine connection, in-home quiet moments, and the beauty of real life growing families. Whether you're welcoming a new baby or documenting this season of life, I would be honored to create timeless images for you and your loved ones.
About Newborns
Reserving your newborn/baby session.
I typically book sessions 4-6 weeks ahead of baby's arrival. If you recently had your little one, I do take last minute sessions! You might have decided last minute you would still like to capture your baby in the weeks after birth, no problem. I will find a date to work into my schedule. I still strongly recommend you contact me here in Star, Idaho before your due date so that baby has their session between 7-15 days after birth. BUT... I do capture baby's at any week or month old too.
Sessions are done in the comfort of your own Treasure Valley, Idaho home. Please email me at kristyrodgersphoto@gmail.com for details.

My style is simple, authentic natural light imagery outdoors or in the comfort of your home where you & your toddlers feel most at ease. Designed to be relaxed & meaningful, newborns & babies are my favorite subjects to photograph! As an artist I use a natural organic style with soft neutral tones and earthy colors. I do this with my outdoor sessions as well. Soft neutrals provide the most and best light reflections. Clothing is very reflective and it actually makes a difference in the outcome of your photos both indoors and outdoors. It also keeps the focus on baby and the family and compliments the skin best. Because this is very important to my photography style, I give you many recommendations for what to wear for the session and also provide complimentary maternity or motherhood dresses from my collection, for clients to use if they would like to. My goal is to help make it easier for mom's who have their hands full at home. To capture your baby & family with everyday genuine connections or routine chaos, but with a patient gentle heart. When our baby arrived 3 weeks early, I hadn't thought to do newborn photography yet. When we arrived home, I was in a hot panic on capturing the newborn moments. I tried to take some on my own, but...I'm no photographer, and my baby knew that. Hence the Yelp search began. When I saw Kristy's photos, I knew she was the one. When I contacted her, she was able to work us into the schedule at the last minute, so we wouldn't miss the newborn window. When we met at her studio, Kristy set us at ease, helping my hubby and I through the session, and making sure baby was comfortable the entire time. From making sure he was fed, to warm, Kristy was gentle the entire time. We just received the gallery ontime, and cannot wait to share with family and friends.
